Code of Conduct

• Parents and guardians are welcome to observe the class during the final week of Terms 1, 2, and 3. Observations do not take place in Term 4, as we have our annual showcase, where students demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout the year.

• To help ensure a routine and to maximise class time, parents and guardians are not permitted to remain in the classroom and must wait outside until students have been dismissed.

• In support of our child safe practices, students must be collected from inside the studio doors and are not permitted to wait outside unsupervised.

• In further support of our child-safe and privacy practices, photos or videos of students in the classroom are not to be shared on any social media platform without written permission from The Movement Gallery.

• Please notify The Movement Gallery of any student absence via phone call or text message.

• All students are expected to follow The Movement Gallery’s classroom expectations. Any student displaying unacceptable behaviour may be unable to participate in class. While we endeavour to ensure the authentic inclusion of all students, any sustained behaviour that impacts other students' safety or learning will be addressed accordingly.

• Any property or equipment damaged by a student must be reimbursed.

• We take great pride in being an inclusive community, and will ensure that all issues are addressed in a respectful, compassionate and understanding manner. As members of our community, please ensure that any verbal or written communication remains respectful if an issue arises.

Privacy Policy

This is The Movement Gallery’s Privacy Policy. It explains how we collect, use, and handle personal information obtained through our website or enrolment process.

We understand that the disclosure of personal information is a serious matter, and we take the protection and appropriate use of this information very seriously. In this policy, “personal information” has the same meaning as defined under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, including information that can be used to personally identify you.

Personal information submitted to us is used only for the purpose for which it is provided, or for related secondary purposes.

Student privacy is a high priority. All student records and information are kept secure and confidential at all times.

Uniform Requirements

• Plain black attire: Black leggings, black shorts, black t-shirt, or singlet.

• Classical Ballet: Black leotard, pink ballet tights, and ballet shoes.

• Jazz & Hip Hop: Appropriate footwear such as black jazz shoes or runners.

• Sensory Movement / Lyrical: Bare feet.

• No socks without shoes in the classroom.

• Foot thongs/toe covers are acceptable for lyrical.

• Hair must be kept tidy and off the face.

• TMG T-shirts are available to order from $35 – please contact info.themovementgallery@gmail.com

Pricing & Costs

• 30-minute class: $15

• 45-minute class: $20

• 1-hour class: $25

• First trial class: Free

• Private tuition available – enquire for pricing.

The Movement Gallery offers students the opportunity to participate in an annual showcase. A participation fee of $20 applies and contributes to venue hire, insurance, advertising, and administration costs.

• Costume pricing will vary. For your peace of mind, we ensure each item costs no more than $100.

Fees & Payment

• All fees are invoiced quarterly (each school term).

• Payment is required within 14 days of the invoice date.

• Payments are via bank transfer only (no cash is carried or kept on premises).

• Payment details will be provided on your invoice.

• While we are a NDIS-affiliated school, we strongly encourage families to verify their eligibility with their support coordinator or caseworker.
